Seniors Fear Tariff Impact

A new Nationwide - Harris Poll reports that half of retirees its surveyed are "terrified" about the potential effects that tariffs could have on retirement income and savings. Nearly two-thirds of them said they worry that rising tariffs will drive inflation and that Social Security cost-of-living adjustment will not keep up. 53% of Boomers plus fear changes in tariffs will affect their retirement income and savings. 63% of retirees fear changes in tariffs will drive inflation beyond what Social Security cost-of-living adjustments can cover.
