Bayada Home Health Care, one of the largest home care providers in the US, reduced its headquarters staff by 10%, 100 jobs. Regarding the job cuts, the company said in a statement,"[w]hile Bayada is stable, strong, and growing, we operate in a challenging environment where the costs of providing care are growing faster than the ability of governments and insurance companies to pay for that care... This requires us to be more efficient and intentional in how we work..."
The company, a nonprofit organization, has headquarters in Moorestown, New Jersey and employs over 33,000 people worldwide. It provides home health, home care, hospice, and behavioral health care services in twenty-three US states. Bayada has international locations in Germany, India, Ireland, New Zealand, and South Korea. The company is offering financial support, health benefit stipends, and personal transition assistance to those employees it laid off.
