Politicians Blaming one another

On December 2, 2024, the Republican-led Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic released the results of its 2-year investigation into the COVID-19 pandemic. The report, titled "After Action Review of the COVID-19 Pandemic: Lessons Learned and a Path Forward," primarily concluded that -

  • COVID-19 Origin. The virus most likely emerged from a laboratory in Wuhan, China.

  • COVID-19 Relief Funding. Federal and state governments had significant lapses in coordination, were unprepared to oversee the allocation of such funds, and failed to significantly identify waste, fraud, and abuse of tax payer dollars.

  • Social Distancing. The "6 feet apart" social distancing recommendation was arbitrary and not based on science.

  • Mask Mandates. There was no conclusive evident that masks effectively protected Americans from COVID-19.

  • Lockdowns. Prolonged lockdowns caused immeasurable harm to not only the American economy, but also to the mental and physical health of Americans.
